Let There Be AC/DC
The guys still rock and keep everyone dancing and rocking in the aisles, even though they are older. I brought two of my sons to the show, their first concert experience. They've heard the band with songs I shared and through so many sporting events. But I watched with pure enjoyment as their jaws dropped when Angus started the riff on Rock'n"Roll Train, the opening song. Our Chicago White Sox even use Thunderstruck as their take the field song.
My sons and I jumped, stood on chairs, even started giving the devil horns just like they were concert veterans (them, not me). How can you not enjoy a show that is more a greatest hits collection? They threw in about four songs from the Black Ice album, but they were well matched to the staples.
When Thunderstruck started, they both smiled from ear to ear. That song and most of the Back in Black album are the songs they know the best. They kept yelling how great Angus was. They threw fists into the air with each chant of TNT. The older was dancing in the aisle with a woman I had never met for Highway to Hell. They saluted as the cannons fired on For Those About To Rock. As we drove home, they asked if I could put every The Academy Is... song I have on their iPods.
